Associate Planner

Supporting Lead Financial Planners and Firm Partners, Thomas Lane, Jr., Thomas Lane, III and Andrew Hipple, the Associate Planner will conduct meaningful work to enhance the client experience and drive bottom-line results. Obligations include but are not limited to assisting in client meetings, data gathering, technical support, modeling, case design, plan development, presentation development, implementation, and client service requests. This role may also involve shared oversight and management of firm interns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in finance, economics, or accounting.
  • 1-2 years of experience with RIA in advisory support or advisory role preferred.
  • Current enrollment in CFP® program is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work on-site at Moorestown, NJ location.

Career Advancement

The AP has a direct track to becoming a Lead Financial Planner with his/her own caseload as well as existing small-to-mid-size client accounts. The AP must first complete their CFP® certification and hold all licenses required by current industry regulations. Once those are secured, they must build their own book of business, while maintaining their AP responsibilities, until they reach specific caseload and AUM thresholds agreed to by management.

Our team will provide mentorship and direction, as needed, for employees studying for the CFP® exam, a securities exam, insurance license exam, or other work-related continuing education opportunities. Lane Hipple Benefits

Health Insurance 

When employment commences, the Employee shall be entitled to a reasonable plan of health insurance covering the Employee and his/her family. Lane Hipple will pay 75% of this cost and the Employee will be responsible for the balance on a pre-tax basis through the company Section 125 Cafeteria Plan.

  • HSA Account: The Employer provides a Health Savings Account for the Employee to help offset out-of-pocket medical expenses attributed to deductibles and co-insurance limits. The Employer will contribute up to $3,000/yr, determined by the benefit tier applied for (individual, spouse, family, etc.). The Employee may elect to contribute additional funds to the plan that are deducted from the Employee’s mid-month paycheck up to the annual limits for HSA contributions set forth by the IRS.

Life, Disability, Vision, & Dental Insurance

The Employee is 100% covered by a group life, disability, vision, and dental plan through Guardian Life. The group life coverage is equal to one-time annual compensation up to a maximum of $125,000. The group DI plan will cover the employee for 60% of pre-disability earnings, up to a maximum of $10,000/month. The DI benefit is payable until the disabled employee’s age 65. Additional Voluntary benefits are available to the employee.

401(k) & Profit-Sharing Plans

On the first day of the quarter that follows six months of employment, the Employee will become eligible to participate in the Employer 401(k) plan. The Employer will make a Safe Harbor matching contribution equal to a maximum of 4% of compensation (up to the defined contribution compensation limits). The employer, at their discretion, may make additional contributions, over and above the aforementioned 4% contribution, in the form of a profit-sharing contribution. These additional contributions are not mandatory.

Vacation/Sick Time/Personal Days

The Employee is entitled to paid vacation, sick time, and personal days, none of which accrues if unused. Vacation, sick time, and personal days are interchangeable and the total available for the Employee is based on completed years of service with the firm:

  • First Five Years: 15 days
  • More Than Five Years: 20 days

Miscellaneous Expenses

The Employer will pay the costs associated with maintaining the Employee’s necessary licenses, if applicable. In addition, any standard and recurring professional expenses related to employment paid by the employee will be paid or reimbursed by the Employer, i.e., professional association dues, licensing fees, and subscription renewals. We will support and assist the Employee in the pursuit of additional certifications to further his/her professional career.
